Creaghan + Peter - The Rainbow Room
Creaghan + Peter: A Jewel-Toned Winter Celebration at the Rainbow Room
There's nothing quite like dancing 65 floors above Manhattan, with the entire city glittering below through floor-to-ceiling windows. Creaghan and Peter chose the iconic Rainbow Room for their January wedding, and the result was pure old-world glamour — Art Deco elegance meeting a bold, jewel-toned floral palette that glowed against the room's gold mirrors and crystal chandeliers. It was a night of rich color, candlelight, and timeless New York romance.

About the Venue: The Rainbow Room
Perched on the 65th floor of 30 Rockefeller Plaza, the Rainbow Room is one of New York City's most storied event spaces — a glittering Art Deco ballroom with a retractable dance floor, soaring crystal chandeliers, and floor-to-ceiling windows wrapping the room in panoramic skyline views. It's a space that's equal parts history and spectacle, and on a clear winter night, the city itself becomes part of the décor.
For Creaghan and Peter's celebration, the Rainbow Room's gold mirrored walls and warm chandelier light created the perfect backdrop for a floral palette designed to feel just as luminous as the room itself.

Floral Design Approach
For this wedding, we leaned into rich, saturated jewel tones — deep reds, burgundy, magenta, and warm coral and orange, with touches of plum and blush for contrast. The palette was designed to hold its own against the Rainbow Room's gold and crystal details, glowing under candlelight rather than competing with it.
Two dramatic, sculptural floral installations flanked the sweetheart table, cascading from floor to ceiling height in a mix of hydrangea, calla lilies, ranunculus, and amaryllis — a bold focal point that drew the eye the moment guests stepped into the room. Creaghan's bouquet carried the same energy: deep red calla lilies, lavender clematis, burgundy hellebore and butterfly ranunculus, and trailing ribbon for movement against her sleek bridal gown.

Bridal Party Florals
The bridal party bouquets continued the jewel-toned story — lavender and vibrant orange calla lilies, burgundy butterfly ranunculus and hellebore, each bouquet a slightly different mix within the same rich color family. Against the navy and black gowns of the bridal party, the bouquets popped with color and warmth.

Reception Atmosphere
Throughout the reception, low centerpieces in warm reds, oranges, and pinks were paired with mixed candle heights, gold accents, and rich red table linens — creating an intimate glow at every table while keeping sightlines open beneath the Rainbow Room's chandeliers. Each tablescape felt like its own small still life, with jewel-toned blooms nestled among candlelight, place settings, and dessert details.

The dance floor itself became the heart of the celebration, with the floral installations and chandelier glowing in the background as guests gathered around for the first dance — a fittingly grand moment in one of New York's most iconic rooms.

Sustainable Floral Practices
As always, the florals for this event were locally sourced, seasonal where possible, and foam-free. Our team prioritizes supporting our network of growers and minimizing waste — from sourcing to transportation, from design mechanics to post-event breakdown. Even in a room as grand as the Rainbow Room, beauty and sustainability go hand in hand.
