FAQs

Can I skip a week or more of delivery?

Yes you can! You can access your active subscriptions within your customer account and “skip” a week or more. See video above for a visual walkthrough on where to locate the skip button.

How can I cancel my subscription?

The option to pause or cancel your subscription will be made available after your 4th delivery.

Navigate to your customer account, hit 'manage your subscriptions' at the top of the page. You will then click the white 'manage' button to open your subscription details. Once on this page you will find the 'pause' and 'cancel' buttons on the top right section of the screen.

How can I best take care of my subscription flowers?

We include flower care tips, specific to each flower variety, in every weekly newsletter.

Our evergreen flower care tips are as follows: Clean vase (well scrubbed!), a fresh cut every 1 - 2 days along with fresh water, and avoid heat / direct sunlight for the longest “vase life."

What if I am dissatisfied with a subscription bouquet?

Please reach out to us at seasonalflowerproject@mollyoliverflowers.com.

If your flowers aren’t in good condition upon pick-up/delivery, or, if they do not last as long as we indicate in the weekly newsletter, please let us know. We will be happy to make it up to you!

If you can include a photo of the bouquet, this is always helpful!

Can I pick up my bouquet on a Thursday if I miss/forget to pick up?

Our pick up locations are only responsible for holding onto your subscription bouquet during their pick up hours on Wednesdays.

How long do your flowers last?

Some flowers naturally last longer than others. Some last 3-5 days; others 7-10, and some last 10 days - 2 weeks! How long they actually DO last has to do with their environment. The cleanliness of your vase, freshness of their water, and the temperature of the room will all have an impact on the “vase life” of your stems.

Place in a well-scrubbed vase with fresh water. Change the water and trim the stems every 1-2 days. Keep your flowers away from direct sunlight, heat from your stove or other appliances, fans, or a bunch of fresh fruit (the ethylene gas will cause your flowers to pass faster).

The story behind our subscriptions:

When 40 scheduled events were suddenly postponed in March 2020, we knew farmers would feel the repercussions. With their help, we began delivering our favorite seasonal flowers across NYC that May. As they say, where one door closes another opens – a project I’d dreamt about for years found wings.

Since then, we've continued to work with 10+ regional farms- most of them woman- and queer-owned, to bring you the freshest, most unique flower varieties- typically out of reach for the average consumer.
In 2021, we began partnering with small businesses across NYC to increase access to the magic of local flowers.

Did you know that farming is one of the whitest professions? We’re dedicated to seeing our farming population diversify, so that the very definition of beauty can continue to expand through diverse land stewards. We donate 15% of our subscription profits to Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) farmers as well as BIPOC-led organizations working on land-based reparations.
