How the flower
subscription gift works
Select the 4, 8, or 12-bouquet package. Decide whether to include home delivery ($18/bouquet extra) or leave that to the recipient. Choose how to send the gift: via email, a printable card, or a shareable URL — any of which the recipient can redeem immediately.
Your recipient receives their gift notification however you've chosen — a beautifully formatted email from Molly Oliver Flowers, a printable card you can hand them in person, or a shareable link you send yourself. All three methods include a personal message from you.
The recipient completes their own details: which NYC pickup location suits them (or adds home delivery if not included), whether they'd like weekly or biweekly deliveries, and when they'd like their first bouquet to arrive. They're in control of the timing.
From their chosen start date, a fresh locally grown bouquet arrives every Wednesday — at their pickup location or their door. Each delivery includes a subscriber-only email with care tips and the story of the farm behind that week's flowers. The gift keeps giving, week after week.
Not a box of roses.
Something genuinely rare.
-
100% locally grown, within 200 miles
Every stem comes from small, mostly woman- and queer-owned farms within 200 miles of Brooklyn and NYC — cut that week, not cold-stored overseas. This is what makes the bouquets genuinely different: variety, freshness, and vibrancy you can't get from a national service.
-
Single-variety bouquets, no filler
10–20 stems of one extraordinary flower at its seasonal peak. No spray-painted carnations, no filler greenery. Unique varieties — specialty tulips, ranunculus, lisianthus, dahlias, cosmos — that change every week and that your recipient probably hasn't seen at any bodega or grocery store.
-
A subscriber-only newsletter with every delivery
Each bouquet comes with a subscriber-only email: specific care tips for that week's exact variety, how to extend vase life, and the story of the farm and farmer behind the flowers. Your recipient learns something new with every delivery.
-
Compostable packaging, always
Every bouquet arrives in 100% recycled kraft paper and luxe tissue — no plastic, no styrofoam. Everything is compostable. A gift that doesn't add waste to the world.

When a flower subscription
is the right gift
A flower subscription gift works for every occasion because it keeps giving — not just once, but week after week. Here's what it's perfect for.
The gift that arrives every week instead of once. For the person who has everything, or who deserves more than a one-time bouquet — a birthday gift that extends across their whole birth month and beyond.
Give something that lasts longer than a weekend. A flower subscription gift for Mother's Day means she gets a new seasonal bouquet from a local NYC farm weeks after the holiday — a reminder that keeps coming.
The subscription gift that doesn't arrive in December and get forgotten by January. Your recipient can start their deliveries whenever they choose — great for giving in December for a January or February start.
Help someone make their new home feel like home. A flower subscription is the gift that transforms a space week after week — and that a new homeowner is unlikely to splurge on for themselves.
For a colleague, a mentor, or a team member who deserves something beyond a gift card. A locally grown flower subscription is a meaningful, distinctive, and genuinely memorable workplace gift.
The best reason. Someone in your life who loves flowers, who lives in NYC, and who would be delighted by a new seasonal bouquet every Wednesday for a month or three. No occasion needed.
What people say about

"Seeing how the local flowers change over the year is like watching nature's fireworks — elegant tulips, then cosmos, then dahlias. My home is genuinely better for it. I look forward to Wednesdays."
— Multi-year subscriber
"You can't find these flowers anywhere else — I know because I've tried. Unusually beautiful, seasonally sourced, and the newsletter with each delivery is wonderful. A truly special gift."

Flower subscription gift FAQ
How does the flower subscription gift work?
You purchase a package of 4, 8, or 12 bouquets. You choose how to send the gift — email, printable card, or shareable link — and optionally include a personal message. Your recipient receives their gift notification, then sets up their own subscription: choosing their start date, weekly or biweekly frequency, and their preferred NYC pickup location (or adding home delivery).
Does the recipient choose when to start?
Yes — the recipient sets their own start date when they complete their subscription setup. This makes it a great holiday or advance gift: you can give it in December for them to start in January, or any other timing that suits them. The gift doesn't expire as long as they set up their subscription within a reasonable window after receiving it.
Can I include home delivery in the gift?
Yes. When purchasing, you can add home delivery ($18 per bouquet) so the recipient gets door-to-door delivery without any additional cost to them. Alternatively, your recipient can add delivery themselves when setting up their subscription if they prefer it over pickup — they just pay the delivery fee directly. All packages include free pickup at nine NYC locations.
How do I send the gift?
Three options: a beautifully formatted email sent directly to your recipient from Molly Oliver Flowers, a printable PDF card you can include in a physical card or hand to them in person, or a shareable URL you can send yourself via text, WhatsApp, or any other message. All include the option to add a personal note from you.
Can the recipient choose weekly or biweekly?
Yes — the recipient sets their own delivery frequency when they complete their setup. They can choose weekly (bouquet every Wednesday) or biweekly (every other Wednesday). So a gift of 8 bouquets could be 8 consecutive weekly Wednesdays, or 16 weeks of biweekly deliveries — their choice.
What if they prefer a different pickup location?
All ten pickup locations across Brooklyn, Manhattan, and LIC are available to the recipient when they set up their subscription — they can choose whichever neighborhood partner is most convenient for them on Wednesdays. If their schedule changes, they can update their pickup location at any time. See all pickup locations →
Where does the subscription deliver?
Free pickup is available at ten locations across Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Long Island City. Home delivery covers most ZIP codes in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Long Island City for $18/bouquet. Check their ZIP here →
Can the recipient skip a week?
Yes — once set up, the recipient has full account access and can skip individual Wednesdays, pause for up to 3 months, and manage their subscription just like any regular subscriber. Skipped deliveries are not used up — the gift bouquets are held until they're ready to receive them.
What flowers will they receive?
Single-variety bouquets that change week to week with the local growing season. Specialty tulips, ranunculus, and hyacinth in winter/spring; peonies, cosmos, and lisianthus in early summer; dahlias, sunflowers, and gomphrena in late summer; heirloom mums and chocolate cosmos in fall. Each delivery includes a newsletter explaining exactly what arrived and how to care for it.
Can I give this as a corporate or group gift?
Yes — we work with companies and groups on multiple gift subscriptions. If you're purchasing for more than one recipient, contact us directly and we can help coordinate multiple packages efficiently.
