Natural Dried Wreath Workshop

An artful wreath can adorn your home all winter long (and up to a year plus!) or make a wonderful housewarming gift for whoever’s hosting Thanksgiving this year.

Description: Join me in the studio for a very special one-of wreath-making workshop using pure, natural dried ingredients – grasses, seed heads, and flowers.  Nothing dyed, nothing artificial. We’ll be working on grapevine bases, which are easy to stuff and wire to. I’ll share several techniques and provide a beautiful diversity of locally-sourced materials to choose from. No two wreaths will be exactly alike, though you’ll be encouraged to stick with just 1-3 ingredients for simplicity and the most impact with your design.

All participants will be given a box and bag to protect their wreath on the journey home.

Instructor: Molly Culver

Instructor Bio: Molly Oliver worked as a flower farmer for 15 years, and amidst that career launched Molly Oliver Flowers. Since 2011, Molly has specialized in sourcing and designing for events of all kinds with our region's local and seasonal blooms, while using foundational principles of sustainable floral design. She has taught nearly every subject within the cannon of sustainable agriculture - from propagation and composting, to soil science and irrigation 101. And since 2015, she has offered basic floral design workshops for flower enthusiasts across NYC. She's thrilled to finally be offering workshops from the MOF studio for the first time.
