Josh + Jordana: A Moody, Magical Winter Wedding at Cedar Lakes Estate
There’s something undeniably magical about a winter wedding at Cedar Lakes Estate — especially when the first snow of the season falls just in time for the ceremony. Josh and Jordana embraced the beauty of the outdoors, exchanging vows under soft twinkle lights as snow gathered around them. Their day was romantic, intimate, and full of warmth — a celebration that glowed from within.

About the Venue: Cedar Lakes Estate
Located in the Hudson Valley, Cedar Lakes Estate offers sweeping natural beauty year-round, but winter here has its own atmosphere — quiet, cinematic, and deeply cozy. The venue’s combination of evergreen-lined property, open lakeside views, and warm, wood-clad event spaces creates the perfect setting for couples who want both elegance and a grounded connection to the outdoors.
The barn at Cedar Lakes Estate is known for its vaulted wood ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and moody candlelit ambiance, which beautifully complemented the floral palette and intimate styling of Josh and Jordana’s celebration.

Floral Design Approach
For this wedding, we leaned into deep, glowing color — bringing warmth and vibrance to the winter landscape. The florals centered around saturated reds and layered warm tones, reflecting the couple’s love of bold color. Jordana’s bouquet featured red, peach, and chocolate ranunculus, burgundy calla lilies and rusty red marigolds, and finished with long trailing naturally dyed Silk and Willow pure silk ribbon for movement.
We designed the ceremony florals to feel immersive and organic — forged winter branches, dried textural elements, and evergreens mingled with fresh blooms to create a setting that felt naturally rooted in the season. The snow only made everything more atmospheric, settling gently over the arrangements like a final touch of design.

The Ceremony
The chuppah was framed with seasonal winter greenery, dried foliage, and rust-toned florals, echoing the palette of the surrounding landscape. As snow fell and lights twinkled overhead, Josh and Jordana exchanged vows — a scene that felt both cinematic and deeply personal.

Reception Atmosphere
Inside the barn at Cedar Lakes Estate, the warmth continued. Long farm tables were arranged with clusters of blooms, candlelight in varying heights, and soft glows from chandeliers overhead. The florals introduced more saturated color — shades of red, peach and sage green — creating a welcoming, lively environment that encouraged guests to settle in and celebrate.
The small arrangements on the tables were designed for intentional impact — delicate flowers arranged in airy compositions, allowing candlelight to pass through and bounce across the room. The effect was romantic and bright, even on the darkest winter night.

Sustainable Floral Practices
As always, the florals for this event were locally sourced, seasonal where possible, and foam-free. Our team prioritizes supporting our network of growers and minimizing waste — from sourcing to transportation, from design mechanics to post-event breakdown. Beauty can be abundant while still being conscious — and this wedding is a beautiful example of that.
