Grace and Matt’s late-summer wedding at Liberty Warehouse was full of light, color, and joy. Framed by views of New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty, their day captured everything special about a Brooklyn waterfront celebration — the energy of the city, the glow of the afternoon sun, and the warmth of being surrounded by their favorite people.

About the Venue: Liberty Warehouse

Perched on the edge of Red Hook’s waterfront, Liberty Warehouse is one of Brooklyn’s most iconic wedding venues. With its panoramic harbor views, exposed brick interiors, and romantic industrial architecture, it offers a dramatic yet intimate setting for city weddings. The ceremony space opens directly to the water, providing an unforgettable backdrop for vows — complete with a direct line of sight to the Statue of Liberty.

Inside, the twinkle-lit ceiling, wood beams, and arched windows create a cozy and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements warm, romantic floral design. The space balances the raw charm of a warehouse with the elegance of a grand ballroom — the ideal pairing for couples who love both city energy and timeless style.

Floral Design Approach

For Grace and Matt’s celebration, our design centered around soft summer colors and movement. Their floral palette featured warm peach, blush, coral, ivory, and deep berry hues that echoed the golden hour light and the vibrancy of the season. We leaned into a textural, garden-inspired style, using blooms with shape and personality to create arrangements that felt alive and expressive.

Grace’s bouquet captured this perfectly: fluffy dahlias, delicate cosmos, and clusters of lisianthus and zinnias gathered loosely to reflect her natural, effortless style.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place outdoors, framed by sweeping water views and a lush floral arch of greenery and seasonal blooms. The arch design blended structured climbing foliage with layers of coral, ivory, and pink blooms — a fresh, organic counterpart to the clean lines of the harbor backdrop. As the couple exchanged vows, the late-summer sun reflected off the water, creating a soft, glowing scene.

Reception Atmosphere

Inside Liberty Warehouse, long tables and rounds were styled with airy, sculptural arrangements in modern white ceramic urn vessels, paired with soft candlelight for an elegant and inviting look. The color story carried throughout the space, deepening slightly in tone to complement the venue’s warm brick and wood tones.

Each table featured a mix of low centerpieces and simple bud vases — some holding single stems for lightness, others full with layered blooms. The overall effect was modern, unfussy, and romantic — the perfect balance for an urban summer wedding.

Sustainable Floral Practices

As with all our weddings, florals for Grace and Matt’s day were designed using foam-free mechanics and seasonally available blooms. By sourcing locally wherever possible and composting after the event, we ensured that the beauty of the day aligned with Molly Oliver Flowers’ sustainable mission — to celebrate love while caring for the planet.
